For Directors

Directors for each Division in the Channel-Port aux Basques Minor Hockey Association are elected at the Annual General Meeting which is held in June of each year. A Director has several important responsibilities relating to the efficient management of a particular division including the following:

- Report to the Executive all activities within the Division.

- Take part in selecting the coaching staff of the division, subject to Executive approval.

- Ensure that the coaching staff abides by all rules and regulations as well as all Association policies.

- Arrange meetings between coaching staff, parents and/or Executive.

- Establish a committee(s) (coaching staff and/or parents) to assist in the division - ie. Calling List and Bingo.

- Prepare a post-travel budget for major trips and present a statement of all travel to the Treasurer and/or Executive.

- Ensure that all documentation required for the division is completed and submitted - ie. Insurance Forms.

- Arrange tournaments and exhibition games with other centres.

-  Arrange transportation for out‑of‑town trips.

- Notify the CPABRA when game officials are required, and to ensure reasonable notice is given.

-   Assist with fundraising projects.

-  Perform any duties assigned by the Executive.

-  Be responsible for their division’s equipment and equipment storage room, in conjunction with the Equipment Manager.

- Provide an updated list of equipment and inventory in their division’s equipment storage room at the beginning and end of each season, in conjunction with the Equipment Manager.

            Pee Wee Director: Dave Clarke

            Bantam Director: Sandra Piercey

            Midget Director: John MacDonald
