Fundraising

Fundraising is one of the most important parts of any non-profit organization. Such activities enable any association to function well and keep costs as low as possible. The Channel-Port aux Basques Minor Hockey Association takes pride in having one of the lowest player registrations in the Province, made possible by the fundraising efforts of our members and parent volunteers. Our fundraisers range from our weekly Radio Bingo, to Ticket Draws and Canteen Volunteers. This year's Fundraising Chair is Cindy Butt. Contact Cindy if you have any ideas or would like to volunteer in a fundraising capacity.

Parents are reminded that all ticket and bingo monies are to be paid up-to-date. Your child will not be permitted on the ice if fundraising monies are delinquent.

Message From the President: Volunteering

Volunteerism is not only what makes Port aux Basques minor hockey thrive, it is also expected of all parents/guardians of players.  This is necessary in order for us to keep our costs low, which in turn results in us keeping our registration rates among the LOWEST in the entire province.  Therefore, I encourage all parents to volunteer when requested by your respective Director.  Also, should you agree to help out, I would ask that you honour your commitment.  Not doing so results in a heavier burden on the other volunteers that have shown up, especially when the volunteer doesn’t provide notice that they cannot attend.  Thank you for your understanding and your commitment to minor hockey.
