-  On November 22, Hockey Canada skills development camp took place at the Bruce II. 44 players from the Port aux Basques Minor System took part in a fun and educational skill development camp that provided young hockey players will on and off ice training and respect building sessions. Thanks to Nick Jansen of Hockey Canada and Andrew Parsons for organizing such a quality event.

- The Annual Jim Savoury Memorial Midget hockey tournament was played on the weekend of November 28th.

- Samsung today launched a website (www.samsung.com/laceup) where parents/legal guardians can go online and, in 300 words or less, explain why their child deserves one of the 15 coveted slots. A panel of judges from Samsung and Hockey Canada will review the entries to determine the players that best exemplify Samsung’s key hockey values – fair play, team work and skills improvement. 

A sincere thank you to Mr. Paul Simms and the organizers of the Annual Christmas Hockey Classic Recreation Hockey Tournament held each year during the Christmas Break. This year the Tournament Organizers donated $200.00 to Port aux Basques Minor Hockey. Thanks again for your continued support of our young athletes.

Thank you to all of the volunteers who gave their time to support the Annual Men's Recreation Ice Hockey Tourney on the weekend of February 12, 13, and 14. Once again it was a huge success. Special mention to Mr. Shawn Tobin who spearheaded the event.
